Safety arrangements for Community Centre use
Risks Assessments: We assess risk before every session- covering activities, materials, space, and any potential hazards in the room or building.
Centre Rules: We respect and follow the centres policies on fire exits, emergency assembly points, first aid locations, noise levels and access.
Fire & Emergencies: All users will be shown fire exits and assembly points at the start of sessions. Evacuation routes are kept clear at all times
Materials & Equipment: Art/craft materials, tools and supplies are checked before use, stored safely when not in use and used only as instructed.
First Aid: A first Aid kit is available, minor injuries are recorded. Serious incidents are reported to the centre management and relevant authorities if required.
Access & Movement: We keep aisles, doorways and fire routes free of bags, equipment and furniture to avoid trips or falls.
Hygiene: Handwashing facilities are used where appropriate, surfaces are cleaned after use and waste is disposed of correctly.
This policy/guidelines are reviewed regularly- or sooner if activities change, the venue layout alters, or incidents occur.
Safeguarding
Any safeguarding concerns will be handled in line with UK Gov guidelines. Staff are Level 2 and Level 3 trained
